Salvation lies in relationships because either people communicate and share a genuine connection, or they are two walls: each talks to the other about themselves, but neither truly listens to the other.
The Holy Spirit is present in every relationship, in every interaction, because His role is to connect what perceives itself as “fragmented”. He does not recognise differences because He knows they are unreal. As unreal as everything that seeks to represent them.
The physical world is a game of differences and levels. Of status and the need to be special and stand out in order to feel worthy. And we want to feel worthy so that we can feel loved or attain a fictitious form of love. The one we have defined in our minds without any basis in reality.
If a relationship is a form of unequal adoration, it becomes destructive because it goes against real love, which would say something like this: “I love you as I love myself.”
If you love the other person more than yourself, you fall into blind and desperate fanaticism. You place yourself beneath them. You trample on yourself or let yourself be trampled on. If you want the other person to love you more than you love them, you are pursuing self-worship. You trample on others and seek their willingness to be trampled on.
Everything built on such inequality is, in essence, destructive and inconsiderate and, therefore, lacking in Love. Equality is an essential component of Love because the real God gives equally throughout the whole of what His Son is. To think that you have more or less right than another is to contradict the Truth outright.
What you are willing to accept for yourself is what you will be in a position to offer the other person. Ultimately, you cannot be different from what you learn through acceptance.
All those who seek the Truth fulfil a purpose and contribute something, even through their very imperfect understanding, which is nothing other than their very imperfect acceptance.
As you accept the Truth as part of yourself and your path through life, your understanding begins to unfold. Yet accepting that Truth is truly difficult because there is a very strong attachment to the earthly and the “known”, alongside a fear of the spiritual and the “unknown or forgotten”.
Here lies a paradox: the “known” cannot actually be understood because it represents nothingness and senselessness. Yet the “unknown” can come to be understood because it represents sense or meaning, which comes from God, your true creator.
