Let us keep exploring vision, because ultimately the entire path leads there. That vision is the most faithful perception of truth for the simple reason that it perceives reality as one.
How could this be? I imagine it as putting on a pair of glasses with golden lenses. With them on, the edges of things would soften, becoming slightly blurred. Then depth would disappear, as though the 3D effect had been removed from your sight and everything lay on a single surface. It might be something like seeing a golden mesh or a picture of light.
And what would that vision be showing? That nothing is separate from anything else. The fragmented perception of reality would have become unified.
The opposite of that vision is what you see now: a collection of disconnected things, each given an individual name that defines it and assigns it a specific meaning. Some have a will of their own, separate from yours. And that is precisely where the game begins.
Riddle me this: what is the game called? It is called “you or me”. And what is it never called? “Us”. What a coincidence! The bloody game is never called “us”. Hahaha.
And what do those wills play? Games of domination: now it is my turn to be on top, now it is my turn to be underneath.
“But I want to be right!”
“Of course, you want to play at being on top… You want to play the king, the role of ‘everyone must obey my will, or I’ll hold my breath’. Hahaha. You didn’t obey me? Don’t worry, I’ll add you to the endless list of excluded people I keep right here. Hahaha.”
“If you want my friendship, you’ll have to kiss my feet,” many of them think. And how far that is from even a glimmer of Love!
Ultimately, the game is always, always a conflict of wills. And if you are constantly in conflict with everything, what can you neither be now nor become? At peace, obviously.
Now put together all the little pieces of the glass that shattered into countless fragments…
“Oh, but there are too many!”
“You’re right. Just imagine the glass never broke and you are dreaming that it did.”
“I like that idea better!”
You can choose to see unity in everything, especially when you feel far removed from the person before you, when you believe they are against you and all you see is someone as blind as yourself.
Clearly, under that unified vision, conflicts cease to make sense. There are no longer two wills, only unity. I do not have to fight you because your interests are mine and mine are yours.
And what is the one interest that can truly unite us? Being at peace with one another: a perfectly built bridge of light.
Vision is a choice. It is something you choose, and the more you choose it, the more likely it is to arise and unfold. A seed you have watered is more likely to germinate than one you have ignored completely…
And what made no sense at all makes sense again because it rests in absolute Unity, in absolute Love, in absolute Truth. Some call it God; others, Being. The name does not matter because what is infinite cannot be limited in any way.
That state is your infinite Self. That state is the ultimate truth.
